Ten strings in Chinese

The image is a vertical realistic photograph of a printed tea-shop menu board mounted flat on a pale wooden wall, the board filling most of the frame with a narrow margin of wall visible on all four sides. Four small brass screws hold the board, one near each corner, each catching a small highlight. The lighting is soft diffused daylight arriving from the upper left, raking gently across the card so the grain reads, with no hard shadow. The overall composition is flat, frontal and typographic, the palette built from cream, black and deep green, and the mood is plain and calm.
