The prompt

Remove the background, and output an image with an alpha channel and a transparent background

Notes

Same image, same seed, same size, same 81 seconds. Asking for the background to be removed redrew the subject instead of cutting it out: blue bled into the hair, the knit turned to noise and the freckles blew out.

This is narrow. The removal phrasing is faithful on photographs and on a naturally generated image. It failed only on a generated subject that had been composited onto a synthetic background and re-extracted.
